Are you looking to maintain your home on the inside and out?

Well, you’re in the right place.

I started a home maintenance challenge.

Each week I will provide sample tasks to work on.

I will base our challenge on checklists and recommendations from websites that showcase experts.

Many people find it hard to keep up with their house projects and general maintenance for their home.

It is VITAL to maintaining your property value and helps to potentially avoid bigger problems down the road.

Each week for the next 8 weeks, I’m challenging readers to take better care of their homes inside and out.

Whether you are working on a large ongoing  project, simply completing small tasks around the house, or just looking to inspect your home. . .post comments, blog posts, and updates here.

Challenge 2 :Indoor and Outdoor Clutter

Make it part of your routine to take care of weeds. I do this before my daughter gets on the school bus. My goal is ten but I usually surpass that goal. Make sure your goal is attainable and measurable.  I chose the number ten just so I can easily count what I did. It’s very attainable too. Also, the way I see it, doing something is better than nothing.

For this week:

Attempt to declutter inside and out. We associate clutter with the inside of our house. There are forms of clutter outside too. Weeds clutter up your garden, grass, etc.

• Inside– Look to get rid of a collection that needs to go. It’s what I call the Declutter Jackpot.

• Outside– Pull up weeds  (Here’s how to get rid of weeds the right way from This Old House.)
