frugal-living-fitness-challengeYou may have a vague idea about getting in shape.

Maybe you even went ahead and wrote it down as a goal. . . or even thought about joining  a gym.

Now you want to take ACTION.

The best way to achieve this goal is to get very SPECIFIC.

Define how much time you will devote and what you will do.

According to research at Harvard, studies found a remarkably consistent association between faster walking speed and longer life.

Winston Churchill said it best:

It is always wise to look ahead, but difficult to look further than you can see.

Here’s the truth:

If you want to get into shape, you have to start somewhere. If walking on a regular basis is where you need to start than so be it. If you haven’t exercised for some time or have health concerns, than you should check with your doctor before committing to any routine. I’m not an exercise expert but I am following the recommendation for myself on SuperTracker.usda.gov to get get guidance.

I am looking do 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily. I’m going to post videos that I try in order to inspire you. This may give you the BOOST you need to get started. I would love for you to join the challenge.

I typed in “work out video” on Youtube and this is what I found. It had 2,575,319 views, so I knew it had to be great.I enjoyed this workout. It actually makes you stop for a water break in the middle. I like how the person “narrating” stays with you through the whole workout.

I liked having my “hand held” and this closest to personal attention without hiring a trainer. ; ) I like how the exercises are timed too. So you do a series of different exercises and there’s a little timer to show you how long you have to go for each exercise. I feel like they purposely help you to gain “small wins” so you stick to completing the video.

They also incorporate what is called “active rest”. I don’t know about you, but any workout that promises ” a break” is my kind of workout.
